CODDY JOHNSON
Coddy Johnson is a board member and co-founder for Network Relations, a marketing company with advanced campaign capabilities for corporate clients. He is also Vice President for Activision Blizzard, the world's largest independent publisher of video console, handheld, and online games.
Coddy earned his MBA from Stanford Business School, graduating as an Arjay Miller Scholar (top 10% of class). Prior to Stanford, Coddy served as the youngest National Field Director in history for a Presidential campaign: in charge of 1,200 field staff and 1.4 million volunteers with a $60 million budget for the President’s successful 2004 re-election. Coddy helped pioneer the analytical framework for metric-based voter turnout and “microtargeting”: for this work, and his role as field director, Coddy was named the most valuable player for Republicans by the National Association of Political Consultants (the national Democrat winner was the Internet). Prior to serving as field director, Coddy was Associate Director of White House Political Affairs, in charge of advising the President and directing his agenda in ten central and Midwestern states. Coddy was also a Regional Director on President Bush’s first national campaign, overseeing the election effort in five states, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, Tennessee, and West Virginia: all five voted for President Bush on election night.
Before his six years advising the President, Coddy attended Yale University, graduating magna cum laude in 1999 with a degree in Ethics, Politics, and Economics. Coddy was also named an Academic All-American and All New England in varsity lacrosse.
Coddy grew up in McLean, Virginia and attended Landon highschool, where he met his wife Carrie during his senior year: they married a decade later, and now live in Palo Alto, California with their dog, Muddy.
In his spare time, Coddy serves as a board member and co-founder for Mark’s Run, an annual 5-kilometer race that benefits juvenile diabetes research, and which in the 6 years since its founding has raised over $700,000. Coddy also serves as a board member to Progress For America, the largest third party public policy group in America from 2003-2007.
