JASON HUNSTBERRY
Vice President
Jason Huntsberry joined Network Relations as a Vice President in August of 2008 and has been an instrumental member of the team, helping to oversee the day-to-day efforts of the Pickens Plan as well as assisting in business development for the firm.
Jason is a seasoned political, communications and public affairs operative with more than a decade of experience in federal, state and local government. He also has extensive experience as a consultant, advising a number of corporate and small business clients in a wide array of industries.
Before joining Network Relations, Jason founded a successful public affairs firm in Las Vegas, The Riley Group LLC. where he provided strategic consulting services to a variety of clients, including entrepreneurs, national trade organizations, political parties and gaming interests.
Prior to starting his own firm, Jason acted as regional political director for John McCain 2008 where he managed and coordinated campaign efforts for six southwestern states, including voter outreach, campaign messaging and coalition building. He also served as director of voter contact and advisor to the campaign manager.
Before joining the McCain campaign, Jason was associate director of political affairs at the White House. Throughout the 2006 cycle, he managed all aspects of Presidential, Vice-Presidential, and First Lady political travel, worked to build support for the President’s legislative agenda, and advised the White House political director and senior advisor on political and policy matters in eight southeastern states.
Jason also served the White House as director of surrogate scheduling.
In 2003 and 2004, Jason worked on the Bush-Cheney 2004 campaign as national political coordinator. Prior to that, he worked for the Republican National Committee as deputy director of the volunteer deployment program and desk coordinator for the northeast region, coordinating efforts and resources for several campaigns, political operatives and the Office of Political Affairs at the White House.
In 2001, Jason worked for Automated Business Development in Boston, MA as a state coordinator, ensuring clients’ compliance with state and federal rules governing the sale of mutual funds.
Jason graduated with a B.A. in Government from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville.
He lives in Dallas, Texas with his fiancé.
